We all have days when we feel less energised, motivated or happy. I’ve had one of those days today and wanted to snap myself out of it.
I have a list of 10 things I remind myself when the need arises. I hope this helps you when you need it too.
My Top 10 things that make me happier any time!
1 – Be grateful for everything that is good in your life – count the things and ‘feel the positivity’
2 – Take time to reflect on the people you love & appreciate (and who love and appreciate you)
3 – Notice the good things that are happening in your life, focus your attention on them
4 – Direct your thoughts, start to look for opportunities (rather than barriers or issues)
5 – When negative things come up, ask yourself “How does this help me become better?”
6 – Notice your inner voice, practice developing it to move from ‘the critic’ to ‘the coach’
7 – Stand Up, look up, put your shoulders back – you will instantly feel more positive
8 – Breathe – take 5 x deep breaths, it helps you to re-oxygenate and relaxes you
9 – Think of something or someone that makes you Smile (then smile 😉) – it releases endorphins and makes you feel good
10 – Remember – what you focus on expands and grows – with practice you become more and more positive!
We are all human and at times we just need to focus our attention on reconnecting with ourselves and being happy – today is one of those days!
